Regulations Preamble
- The European Physical Society will award an "Experimental Physics
Control Systems Prize" through its Experimental Physics Control Systems
Board (EPCS).
- The prize will be called "Experimental Physics Control Systems Prize
of the European Physical Society", in short "EPS - EPCS Prize".
- The prize will normally be awarded every two years, at the biennial International
Conference on Accelerator and Large Experimental Physics Control Systems
(ICALEPCS) which are co-organized by the EPCS. The EPCS Board may however
decide on another time interval.
Regulations
- The prize will be awarded to one or more young scientists who made outstanding
contributions in the field of Experimental Physics Control Systems.
- The prize will be awarded without restrictions on nationality, race or
religion.
- The prize will consist of a financial contribution and a certificate.
- Only works that are original and that have printed versions can be considered
in the proposals for candidates to the prize.
- Persons who have deceased since the work was performed cannot be nominated
for the prize.
- The selection will be handled by the EPCS Board.
- The EPCS Board will request nominations of candidates for the prize from
the Official Contact Persons who represent the EPCS Member Organizations
world-wide.
- Only persons invited by the EPCS Board are competent to nominate candidates
for the award of the prize.
- Personal applications for the award are not permitted.
- The Board may call upon the advise of experts within the EPS interdivisional
group EPCS.
- The final recommendation of the EPCS Board is submitted for ratification
to the EPS Executive Committee, with a short description of the motives.
